In addition, the upper part of the Ailesbury Mausoleum may be viewed every Sunday afternoon (by request) between May and September from 3-5 pm as part of the Open Sunday programme run by St. Mary’s Church.

If you have any info regarding Daniel Brown b. Maulden 1831 who emigrated to Australia in 1856 then to New Zealand in 1864, or his father, Joseph Brown b. Maulden 1799 please let us know.

The Society was founded to preserve the heritage of the village of Maulden and the surrounding area. We are building, together with St. Mary’s Church, a permanent local history archive to be maintained for future generations.
